Big XII: Key Stat of the Game: Off. Rebounds

By Jean Neuberger - March 07, 2007

Texas A&M has the early 7-4 lead over Colorado, but if you're a Buffaloes fan, there already seems to be a disturbing trend in the game. CU is not rebounding the ball at ALL on the defensive glass. A&M has been cleaning the glass offensively on the Buffaloes, and it's cost them early. If Colorado doesn't attack the boards much harder, this game could get ugly pretty quick.

Meanwhile, on the A&M bench, Gary Blair is telling his team to push the ball faster up the court. More than once, he's hollered at his players to "Hurry It Up!" and increase the tempo of the game. With A&M's superior depth, and the speed of their guards, Blair's game plan is simple: run Colorado into the ground.

McFarland has other ideas though, hitting two free throws just now to cut the lead to 7-6. She's got four of CU's six points the surprise of no one in this arena.
