Clemson-UVA: It's a Sell Out!

By Jeff Lippman - March 01, 2007

Yeah, as in Clemson's fans sold them out. They forgot to show up.

Virginia has two nice clusters of fans while Auburn's Frank Tolbert can count Clemson's fans on his two hands. (He has an extra do the math)

I'd also like to take the time to point how confusing the two team's uniforms are. They are essentially the same design with the exact same colors, only alternating in the opposite way with Virginia's being mainly white with some blue and orange trim and Clemson's mostly Orange with some blue and white trim.

I know I'm forgetting something...Oh yeah! There's a game going on right now.

With 10 minutes to go in the first half, Clemson is holding on to a five point lead, 25-20.

Leading the way for the Tigers is Susan Yensler, a 5-foot-11 sophomore guard in the mold of Duke's Abby Waner. The Marietta, Ga., native has nine early points on a perfect 3-for-3 from long range.

Virginia is led by sophomore forward Lyndra Littles and freshman guard Monica Wright who each have eight points in the early going.

You know what's fun? Cow's parachuting out of a blimp is fun. Yes, that actually happened. Chick-Fil-A had a giveaway with one of those motorized blimps, but instead of coupons--or chicken nuggest, like I was hoping they'd drop--the blimp reigned tiny cows from the sky.
