UNC-Tenn: The Ones Have It

By Jeff Lippman - April 01, 2007

After the lower seeds produced a romp in Rutgers domination of LSU in the first national semifinal game, hopefully we'll have a lot closer matchup in this one.

North Carolina and Tennessee have history. And if history serves correct, it doesn't bode well for the Lady Vols.

Sylvia Hatchell vs. Pat Summitt.

Ivory Latta vs. Shannon Bobbitt

Erlana Larkins vs. Candace Parker

Who do you give the edge to?

North Carolina loves to run and will most likely come out firing, led by the spunky Latta.

Tennessee should give the Tar Heels a steady deathly dose of CP3 all night, and if she goes off for something like 30 points, I'm saying right now the Lady Vols will be in the title game.

Larkins is going to have to play Parker very physical if she has hopes of stopping the game's brightest star.

This one should prove much more exciting and fast-paced than the first, with these two teams able to fill up the scoring column in bunches.

Of course, with that said, the teams have started the game a combined 0-for-10 from the field.
