Gators Work 'Em Silly

I don't care who you are playing, this is an impressive score.

The Florida Gators put up 106 points in an exhibition route of Warner Southern College, a small Florida school that plays in the NAIA.

Warner might not have a player over 6-foot-1, but the Gators haven't put up triple digits in any game since 2000.

The young Gators, led by their young coach Amanda Butler, had all 10 scholarship players score at least six points, very good news for a team struggled so mightily to find production last season.

Florida was paced by junior center Aneika Henry, someone Butler thinks will play a pivotal role this season - and she can dunk - Henry scored 19 points on 7-of-8 shooting and had 10 boards, three blocks and two steals.

For a raw talent that needs polishing, she sounds pretty shiny.

If the Gators continue to play an up-tempo game like this one, that could give SEC teams trouble, a lot like Ole Miss did last year...but that story doesn't come out until next week...
