Colonials Survive Terrier Test
BOSTON - It wasn't as comfortable as Karl Hobbs probably would have liked, but his Cindex-ranked No. 15 GW Colonials survived the young and pesky BU Terriers, 70-57, in front of 4,778 at the Agganis Arena.
Carl Elliott led the Colonials with 25 points while freshman Carlos Strong paced the terriers with 19 (including five threes).
Elliott took a hard foul from Omari Peterkin with 4:38 left, but got up from the floor smiling and calmly sank his two free throws to put GW up 63-52. The smiles spread across the GW bench the rest of the way as BU ran out of time and 3-point shots.
