Cindy's Back For 2007-08!
Hello Cinderella Sweethearts and welcome back to the Glass Sneaker Blog, or as we call it around here at Cindy's Castle, "My Diary."
Wednesdays will be dedicated to our Cinderella Player and Team of the Week, but we're just two days into and feared it would be a bit difficult to offer up the season's inaugural winners. Fortunately Tennessee-Martin partook in the first two rounds of the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic, at the Memphis regional.
Just 8-23 last year in the OVC, UT-M starts off 1-1 after a competitive loss to Memphis and a two-point win over Maine (America East). There's a lot of high level basketball being played in Tennessee at Memphis and UT by themselves, maybe we shouldn't be surprised if some of it wears off on UT-M.
Wrapping up the daily double for UT-M and coach Bret Campbell was the play of junior guard Lester Hudson who had 35 vs. Memphis and 31 against Maine.
The Memphis-native was a combined 24 of 47 from the field (10 of 23 from 3-point land), and while UM's Derek Rose was the "regional's" most impressive player, Hudson could very well have been the most valuable.
