We're back with the seventh edition of our Cindex rankings, and it's Missouri Valley front-runner Drake, now standing at 21-1 and No. 15 in this week's AP poll, who tops our list of the 10 best Cinderella candidates for a second straight week.
The Bulldogs have run off 20 straight games to this point after getting a big 73-70 win Tuesday night in Normal, Ill., over MVC foe Illinois State, a game that you can read much more about here from our RPI man Jerry Palm. Jerry was there covering the game for us and sure saw an exciting one as the Bulldogs overcame an 11-point deficit to tie the school's most wins since the 1970-71 team. Meanwhile, Drake set another mark as just the 14th team in Missouri Valley Conference history to start league play at 12-0 and snapped a 13-game home winning streak for the Redbirds.

CSTV.com has once again released its Cindex rankings on this Wednesday afternoon in late January and a new leader has emerged atop this week's Top 10 in Missouri Valley front-runner Drake, who has ripped off 16 straight wins to hold a perfect mark in conference play and a 18-1 record overall.
The Bulldogs are coming off a 58-54 win at home over Northern Iowa last Saturday but have a tough test tonight in welcoming MVC foe Creighton to the Drake Knapp Center. The Jays, on the other hand, are hoping to snap a two-game losing skid and improve upon its 5-4 mark in the conference.
But with Klayton Korver's three-point capabilities, including a career-high 23 points on seven threes against UNI this past weekend, and Josh Young running the show effectively, the Bulldogs are looking like the team to beat in the Missouri Valley, the staple non-BCS conference over the last two seasons.

We've released our fifth set of Cindex rankings on this Wednesday afternoon, and we finally have some significant changes after seeing Horizon League rep Butler stand at No. 1 for the first four weeks of our ballot.
So with that said, it's No. 16 Dayton who's the front runner in this week's Top 10, and that may come as a surprise to some after the Flyers dropped its last game to UMass at home by a 82-71 margin after needing overtime four days earlier to beat lowly Saint Louis, 68-57, on the road.
But Brian Gregory's team is the only one on this week's poll to have captured two Top 25 RPI wins to date, and Thursday night's matchup in Cincinnati with No. 23 Xavier could prove to be Dayton's toughest test yet. And of course, you can catch that game on CSTV as senior guard Brian Roberts (20.1 points and 4.5 assists per game) looks to lead the Flyers to its fifth straight win away from UD Arena.

CSTV.com has released its fourth edition of its Cindex rankings on this Wednesday afternoon, and with little surprise, it's Butler once again leading the way for the fourth straight week.
Brad Stevens' team is coming off a week that saw them score three wins over Horizon League opponents Loyola, Green Bay and Milwaukee to earn its best start in school history at 16-1 and up its win streak to eight games.
"Butler's just a team that is very good," Milwaukee coach Rob Jeter admitted. "Defensively, they're one of the best I've seen. They really seemed to keep us off balance most of the game."
Matt Howard was Butler's go-to guy in the win over Milwaukee, tallying 17 points, seven rebounds, three blocks and a steal as the Bulldogs played their fourth game in eight days.

CSTV.com has released Week 3 of its Cindex rankings, and there's little surprise at the top with Horizon League rep Butler unanimously taking the No. 1 spot for the third straight week.
The Bulldogs enter the week at No. 14 in the AP poll after holding on last weekend at home against Valparaiso for a 73-65 win. On Monday, Brad Stevens' kids pushed its winning streak to six games and improved to 14-1 overall and 3-1 in league play with a 66-55 victory on the road over Loyola. While senior sharpshooter A.J. Graves had a tough time scoring the ball against the Ramblers, finishing with just seven points on 2-of-7 shooting from floor, Mike Green and Matt Howard picked up the slack with 15 and 19, respectively.

CSTV.com released the second week of its Cindex rankings and once again it's Horizon League favorite Butler who remains in the lead ahead of a pesky Dayton team that upset Louisville at Freedom Hall earlier this season and last Saturday crushed an injury-plagued Pittsburgh team ranked No. 6 at the time by 25 points.
The Bulldogs, meanwhile, are currently ranked No. 16 in this week's AP poll and are out to a 12-1 start after last Friday's tight 57-55 win over Southern Illinois in Carbondale, Ill. Senior guard A.J. Graves came to the rescue once again for Brad Stevens' team, knocking down a 35-footer to secure the win over the Salukis, and Butler is looking like that same team that won the Preseason NIT Tip-off last season at Madison Square Garden and then advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament before falling to two-time champ Florida.

CSTV.com's Searching For Cinderella made its return to the worldwide web Wednesday afternoon for the 2007-08 season, and after little debate between our panel of experts, it's Butler who unanimously stands atop the Cindex rankings for Week 1 with four slippers.
Coming off a 2006-07 campaign that saw Brad Stevens' Bulldogs reach the Sweet 16 with NCAA Tournament wins over Old Dominion and Maryland, Butler is once again ready to contend with Wright State for the Horizon League title after winning the Great Alaska Shootout in Anchorage last month. And the Indianapolis school, which took home the crown at last year's Preseason NIT Tip-off in New York City, has a legitimate shot with seniors A.J. Graves (16. 4 ppg, 2.8 rpg), Mike Green (14.3 ppg, 5.2 rpg) and Pete Campbell (14.1 ppg, 3.9 rpg) all lighting it up from the perimeter so far. The trio of sharpshooters, in fact, are making more than 40 percent of their three-point attempts this season, and it's a big reason why Butler is out to a 9-1 start with the No. 16 ranking in this week's AP Top 25.
