Big 12: All Media Selections

By Adam Caparell - July 26, 2006

Since things are rapidly winding down here as people get ready to make their way out of town in a hurry, it's time to hand out some accolades for those who attended.

All Media Selections

Most Media Friendly Coach: The Big 12 has some great personalities and this is a tough one to choose, but the nod is going to go to new Colorado coach Dan Hawkins, slightly over Texas Tech coach Mike Leach. Leach had funnier answers to questions, but Hawkins' responses had a lot of punch to him and he was the most animated coach - by far - of the 12 here.

Most Media Friendly Player: We'll give the nod to Mason Crosby, Colorado's kicker, who answered a lot of questions Tuesday, but did so giving thoughtful and insightful responses. Well spoken and certainly approachable, there were other players here who were equally as great with the media, but for some reason they don't seem to stand out as much as Crosby.

Toughest To Crack: Bob Stoops. The Oklahoma coach just won't give in to prying questions. And he'll give you a curt response or two that has a touch of - I wouldn't say arrogance, but maybe more or less like - supreme confidence.
