Big 12: Really

By Adam Caparell - July 25, 2006

Here's a stunner. Texas coach Mack Brown said recruiting has been better since the Longhorns won the national championship. You'd hope that would be the case.

Brown also said four of his coaches had offers from the NFL and all four coaches turned down the opportunities to leave for the pros. With their defense - which Brown believes will be the best he's had at Texas - as talented as any in the country and the rest of the team basically set, if this team still had Vince Young and didn't have the quarterback questions it had you might as well have just given the trophy to the Longhorns again.

Just hope the players don't get over confident - remember Ohio State and Oklahoma are strong and want revenge.
