Finished

Just got in from the round. Paired with Chris Villani out of one of Syracuse's broadcast stations, Syracuse SID Sue Edson, and Louisville SID Rocco Gasparro, our team put together a respectable round of 6-under. It had its moments. Sue had a clutch 30 foot putt for birdie on the front. Chris had some nice shots as well as Rocco. Not to brag our boast, but we used a good deal of my shots, but I did struggle a little after the turn before things started clicking towards the end. We're pretty hopeful that with our group average handicap, that we're going to have some sort of shot at possibly stealing this thing. Last year's winners got a set a new Nike irons each reportedly. That wouldn't be a bad prize to take home.

Everyone's going to head back to the hotel and get ready for the clam bake going on afterwards at some place here in Newport. Beautiful course up here at Newport National. I highly recommend it for anyone in the area - although it isn't exactly cheap with a round during the week costing well over $100. But not a bad course at all. Excellently maintained and organized here. The Big East has done a nice job so far. Hopefully they'll keep it going with the clam bake and tomorrow's Media Day.
