The Big Ten Conference announced today the results of its preseason poll as voted by the media attending the conference's media days, and it's no suprise who's the media's pick to win the Big Ten.

The Big Ten announces just the top three spots in the preseason poll, and defending conference co-champion Ohio State led the way, garnering the No. 1 spot. The Buckeyes were followed by Michigan at No. 2, while Iowa was selected third in the poll.

In the individual honors, Ohio State's Troy Smith was tabbed by the media as the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, while Penn State senior linebacker Paul Posluszny was named the Preseason Defensivde Player of the Year.

I have no idea how anyone can think that Ohio State is a national championship calliber team. Losing 9 defensive starters and their best receiver in Santonio Holmes...this team reminds me of last years Michigan team. I belive Michigan is the team to beat. Hands down the most talent in the Big 10, but with Lloyd Carr running the show that talent may go to waste.
