C-USA: Pretty Much Done

By Adam Caparell - August 01, 2006

Things are actually finished over here in what seems like a blink of an eye. The only people left in the Sheraton Grand are Conference USA officials cleaning a few things up.

This media session flew by. The coaches spoke with the media a lot longer than the players did. As soon as the ballroom where the players were sitting started to thin out with media, they got antsy and wanted to leave.

But I saw a lot of conference camaraderie with coaches and as players from other teams joking around with each other.

Last night when I got into the hotel, the players were all congregating downstairs in the lobby trying to figure out how much it would cost per player to take a cab into downtown Dallas. It was $10 per person, but I don't think too many ventured out of the hotel last night because I saw some of the players around the bar where C-USA held their reception for the media (mainly for all the CSTV people as it turned out with practically everyone at the AllSports Bar having come from New York to Dallas).
