First Half Observations

By Adam Caparell - January 08, 2007

Another field goal for Chris Hetland. Two field goals for Florida and Urban Meyer is looking like a genius, rolling the dice with his special teams and not getting burned. Then Troy Smith fumbles the ball away and the Gators are left with only six yards, which they put in to give them a huge lead over the Buckeyes entering the half. Tebow threw for the score and It's 34-14 Florida. No one here expected to see this out of the Gators.

"Could Ohio State play any worse?" Curtis said.

Right now Ohio State has 61 total yards of offense, they're 1-of-5 on third down with two turnovers and three sacks.

"It's complete domination," Trev said. "Take out that Ginn return and it's 34-7."

"I was thinking it was going to be a blowout the other way?" BJ said.

BJ can't understand why the Buckeyes have stayed away from Pittman and the run.

"They need a shot of Jack, or Jagermeister, or something," BJ said.

"One thing the announcers haven't said is it's a predominantly Ohio State crowd," Trev said. "Florida has taken the fans out of the game."

This game could very well be over.

"Do you think we could just skip the postgame right now?"

Here's something to think about...

"Maybe Troy Smith wasn't all that great?" Curtis said. "Troy Smith isn't playing well at all."
