Third Quarter Observations

By Adam Caparell - January 08, 2007

20 points down and one quarter to go: could it happen? Probably not the way the Buckeyes have been playing this night.

"I'm surprised Ohio State did not come out a different team," Curtis said. "I'm shocked that they're not doing anything new."

Leak has been killing the Buckeyes over the middle all night long and Tressel and the Buckeyes haven't made any adjustments.

"Leak is just hitting these crossing routes, and as BJ pointed out, Laurinaitis is covering the logo," Trev said. "That was a boring third quarter."

"Boring as hell," BJ said.

Troy Smtih continues to play just awful.

"This is Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Marvin Hagler," BJ said.

"No, this is 'No Mas'," Trev said.

With the way the first ever BCS Championship Game is going it looks like Urban Meyer is going to earn his first national title. Now the question how will this affect the perception of Jim Tressel and Meyer?

Here's another question to ponder after tonight: should we revote the Heisman?
