Day 2: Keep Your Head On A Swivel

INDIANAPOLIS - Day 2 of the NFL Combine is off and running and it's going to be hectic to say the least. There's going to be a steady stream of the league's top coaches and GMs appearing on the podium. Add that to the fact that the heavy hitters of college football - the QBs, RBs and WRs - are expected to speak with the media throughout the day. During the morning briefing, we were advised to keep our head on a swivel.

Advice well taken: As soon as new Dolphins head coach Cam Cameron got done talking and did some one-on-one sessions outside the media room at the Indianapolis Convention Center, Bears coach Lovie Smith entered, spoke briefly inside, and then conducted his own one-on-one session, less than five feet from Cameron. There were about 30 media members blanketing a 10 square feet grinding foot traffic in the immediate area to a screeching halt.

Cameron refused to speak specifically on any one player. He was asked about both Ted Ginn and Brady Quinn and declined to go into depth about what both bring to the table. Cameron's playing it close to the vest here. He wouldn't get into too much detail about forming his new coaching staff in Miami and isn't going to budge on the individual evaluations for the time being.

In other NFL news, the Browns won a coin toss Thursday night at the Westin Hotel here against the Bucaneers, giving Cleveland the third pick in April's draft.
