Golden Boy A Little Red

INDIANAPOLIS - Brady Quinn made his much anticipated appearance at the podium, calmly answered questions about his every diminishing draft stock that's seen him plummet from preseason No. 1 to No. 10, according to some draft experts.

But Quinn is miffed. He has no idea why he's fallen so far in so many people's eyes.

"It's hard for a guy to slip when he hasn't done anything," Quinn said. "I haven't played a game in the past couple of months. It's funny to kind of sit back, here something and think, 'Have I not lifted. Did I miss a rep?'"

Now Quinn has a chip on his shoulder.

"It's just one of those things you can use as motivation," Quinn said.

NFL teams beware. If he's all that Charlie Weis has billed him to be - which is future NFL royalty - then teams like the Raiders could be cursing the day they pass up Quinn.

Quinn isn't going to perform any drills at the Combine. It's not going to make much sense for him, so he's only going to take part in the medical evaluations, psychological and Wonderlic tests. He'll do everything - throw and run - at two pro days March 4 and 22.
