Notre Dame Slipping With Losses

By Adam Caparell - February 07, 2007

There was a hot rumor going out that Notre Dame lost its committments from Chris Little and Greg Little. Now it looks like it's a done deal.

Chris Little is now going to Georgia and Greg Little is off to North Carolina, boosting Butch Davis' first recruiting class with the Tar Heels.

The big loss for the Irish is going to drop them down to at least the No. 8 spot in the national team rankings.

"An amazing loss for Notre Dame," Lemming said. "Chris Little always said he wanted to go to Notre Dame, but his mom really wanted him to play closer to home."

Chris Little was Lemming's 83rd ranked player. Greg Little was Lemming's 39th ranked player.

Losing a defensive player like Greg Little, something Notre Dame desperately needs, is going to leave Charlie Weis in a foul mood, undoubtedly.

Little was brought in as a WR .. not a defensive player.. he had no intentions of playing defense.. maybe the coaches finally approached him about playing D and that is why he is now going to UNC

Notre Dame is slowly turning into a basketball school - you heard it here first
