NFL Draft: Bush Off The Board

By Adam Caparell - April 29, 2007

NEW YORK - At No. 100, the Raiders continued to upgrade their offense, picking of a potential gem in Louisville running back Michael Bush. If Bush can ever get healthy, as he's still recovering from his broken leg he sustained in last year's season opener, he was all the potential in the world to be a great back.

Bush could have very welll have been a first round selection if he had come out after his junior season, but he decided to head back to Louisville. He also took out an insurance policy to protect against injury. He hopes he doesn't have to use it, but he's suffered a setback with his recovery process and still isn't fully able to compete.

But bottom line, when he's healthy Bush presents a unique blend of speed and power that the Raiders are lucky to have.
