NFL Draft: Wow

By Adam Caparell - April 28, 2007

NEW YORK - The Brady Quinn watch has finally ended - or at least we thought. Everything was set up for Dolphins to take the Notre Dame QB but they Fish threw the biggest curveball of the draft and picked Ohio State WR Ted Ginn.

What an awful pick by the Dolphins. Ginn is not a great receiver by an stretch of the imagination. He's undersized and probably will only make his biggest contributions as a punt/kick returner.

Miami missed a golden opportunity to pick up their first franchise quarterback since Dan Marino. Quinn was shocked by the snub and the fact that the Browns did not take Quinn with that No. 3 pick earlier in the da yis even more telling now. He's dropping like no one would believe. Where's he going to go? Buffalo at No. 12? Is someone going to trade up for him? That would be my guess.

Radio City was thrown for a loss when Roger Goodell announced the Dolphins pick and the place is still buzzing about what just happened. By far the loudest it's been so far on the afternoon.
