A10-Bonnies pulling away
By Jacob Schwartzstein - May 27, 2006
Entering the bottom of the sixth inning, the Bonnies led a close game over the Colonials, but have begun to pull away, scoring three runs in the inning.
A leadoff double to right from T.J. Pennino started things off, followed by a bunt single from Kieran Malone that was misplayed by Colonials third baseman Tom Shanley. An rbi double down the third baseline followed, angering GW fans who thought the third base ump had made an incorrect fair call. Josh Perkins then hit an rbi single to left and two batters later Sexton threw a wild pitch that led to another run.
Lefty Eddie Williams came in for relief with two outs in the fifth for the Bonnies and has pitched solidly, allowing no runs while striking out two in 2.1 innings.
Entering the bottom of the seventh, the Bonnies lead 8-2.

Now that the Bracket has just St.Louis and St. Bonaventure remaining, does St. Bonaventure have to beat St. Louis twice (since the Bilkens haven't lost yet), or is this set for a One-And-Done Championship game at 3:30?

Yes, St. Bonaventure will need to beat St. Louis twice. If the Bonnies win today, there will be a final game tomorrow
