A10-One more day

By Jacob Schwartzstein - May 27, 2006

As "New York, New York" plays over the intercom (another Yankee tradition adopted by the good people here at Fordham University), St. Bonaventure and St. Louis meet on their respective sides of the fields for the post game pep talk, maybe prepping for tomorrow's final game. Yes, that's right. The Bonnies held off the Billikens and the A-10 tournament will conclude tomorrow, a day later than it was supposed to.

Lefty John Zinnicker came into the game in the ninth to close it out for the Bonnies. Bonnie Matt Agostinelli went eight innings, giving up two runs and scattering eight hits, while Billiken Brock Hewitt went eight innings as well, giving up three runs, one earned (although one of the errors that led to a run was committed by Hewitt.

That's all for today. The A-10 blog will continue tomorrow. First pitch is set for 12 p.m.
