A10-St. Bonaventure on the board

By Jacob Schwartzstein - May 26, 2006

After St. Louis put another two runs on the board in the fifth inning, making it 10-0, St. Bonaventure responded in the top of the sixth with a two-run opposite field homer from leftfielder Joe Rizzo.

One of the great things about college sports (or high school or little league for that matter) is the enthusiasm and positive attitude that is often absent from professional sports. Goonies never say die, and neither do these guys. Even though St. Louis was up by 10 when Rizzo hit the home run, the St. Bonaventure fans went crazy as he rounded the bases and his teammates rushed out of the dugout to congratulate him.

Going into the bottom of the sixth, St. Louis leads 10-2.
