A10-Things getting testy

By Jacob Schwartzstein - May 28, 2006

Emotions boiled over in the stands in the top of the fourth inning after a hit batsmen. With a man on third and two outs, the Bonnies' Cody Vincent hit Gilbert Marlowe, though it looked like Marlowe didn't try to get out of the way and may in fact have leaned into the pitch.

Bonnies fans rose from their seats, yelling obscenities at the umpire, while Bonnies coach Larry Sudbrook came out to argue the call to no avail. After Vincent retired the next batter to end the inning, Bonnies fans cheered as loud as I've heard any crowd in this tournament.

Going into the top of the fifth inning, the Bonnies and Billikens are tied at 0.
