A10-YMCA

By Jacob Schwartzstein - May 27, 2006

Fordham, of course, is in the Bronx and you know what other team plays in the Bronx- yes the Yankees (I HOPE you knew that). In honor of that, employees up here in the press box decided to play the YMCA over the loudspeakers after the top of the fifth inning, just as the Yankees famously do every game. There was no groundscrew dancing in unison to it, but several people on the St. Louis side of the stands danced and sang along.

The bottom of the fifth just ended with an amazing run saving, diving catch from Bonnies left fielder Joe Rizzo. With his catch, the Bonnies remain on top of the Billikens 3-2.
