ACC: Speed kills. CU up on Tech 5-2 in 6th

By Eric Sorenson - May 27, 2006

Sorry for just now sending in a blog on tonight's 10:30pm game. I fell asleep in one of the empty luxury suites. It's okay, I'm awake now.

Clemson just scored a pair of runs an inning ago and you can pin it solely on the threat of the speed on the basepaths. Jacket 1B Luke Murton flubbed a 3-to-1 opportunity on a ground ball, an old-school double steal with men on first and third saw catcher Andy Hawranick sail a throw to third into left field. And then, Hawranick had time, but couldn't field a wild pitch carom off the backstop in time to get Brad Chalk out at home.
