Big 12: We're Done, D-U-N

By Glenn Tanner - May 24, 2006

13 hours and 14 minutes after our first pitch, we've finished all four games. #7-seed Missouri broke a 4-4 tie with five runs in the top of the 9th to beat #2-seed Oklahoma State 9-5.

Zane Taylor drove in the tie-breaking run with a one-out single in the ninth, and Oklahoma State fell apart after that as Missouri tacked on four more runs on two more singles, a double, and a sac fly. Oliver Odle was the hard-luck losing pitcher, throwing 130 pitches before being pulled after Taylor's single.

After a shaky start, Nathan Culp pitched bravely for 8.1 innings, giving up 11 hits but walking none and allowing only four runs.

Two games tomorrow:
Texas vs. Baylor at 5pm
Nebraska vs. Tech 45 minutes after the completion of UT-BU

See you then...

Hey, how about some news on the Nebraska vs. Baylor game? Heard the last couple of innings were pretty exciting. Wouldn't mind seeing some video of the 9th inning heroics of Nick Jaros and the Huskers.
