Big East: Notre Dame comes out on top
By Barry Loudis - May 26, 2006
Notre Dame managed to take advantage of some St. John's errors late in the game that resulted in an Irish victory, 5-2.
After trailing the Red Storm early in the game, Notre Dame managed to drive for the win tonight and advance to the championship game tomorrow versus Louisville.
A few quick hits from the game tonight:
*It has cooled off considerably here at the stadium. Now it is only 85 degress with a humidity of 90%. Not bad for Florida in May.
*There is no BBQ sauce here at the stadium. Not that fancy schmancy stuff that they have at the SEC tournament tailgates, anyway. Who needs that stuff when I have the Tiki Bar???
*Crowds for tonight's game have been better than expected. Notre Dame and St. John's fans both were enthusiastic and enjoyable.
*The Field here at the stadium still looks great.
*Special thanks to VideoArt Productions for their video coverage of the game. Archives are available at CSTV.com or bigeast.org. Look for the dancing superfan. It is truly something to behold.
From Clearwater, good night.
