SEC: Home Run City

By Jessica Garrison - May 26, 2006

Wow, the Gamecocks seem to know how to put 'em over the wall. It's 9-0 on three home runs from the Gamecocks so far...

Catcher Ian Paxton just sent a two-run home to the same spot in the parking lot that Smoak hit earler. It's a shame they're not using the "crashing glass" sound cue they use for the Birmingham Barons games in this stadium -- that always cracks me up.

Smoak just got an RBI single, 6-0 South Carolina in the second. If this is another slaughter rule victory I may go take adavantage of the Grandstand Games area in right field -- there's a moon bounce, a beanbag toss and everything...Sign me up!

Look out, moon bounce: DH Phil Disher got a three-run homer right in the direction of Grandstand Games, and Georgia yanked pitcher Nathan Moreau. I see this as a cosmic sign...I'll be back when this one gets competitive.
