Athens: Felmy, Georgia not done yet

By - June 12, 2006

Carolina's got to be asking what it will take to stop the bleeding. Georgia's Bobby Felmy knocks a triple to right center, scoring 2 more Bulldog runs and turning this game into an 11-3 bloodbath.

The chants of "U-G-A!" are rocking this stadium, as everyone from the ushers to the fanatics at Kudzu Hill are barking, jumping up and down, clapping, yelling, and having a great time. The Bulldog bench is loaded with smiling players, who are jumping up and down as much as the fans, and are more pumped than ever, knowing they are 9 outs away from Rosenblatt Stadium and a game with Rice.

Carolina just looks dejected. You have to feel for these guys; they really have left it out on the field. They've just ran out of weapons to counter the Bulldog attack, and nothing seems to be going their way since Pelzer began to tire on the mound. It's a Georgia block party at Foley Field as we head to the bottom of the 7th.
