Athens: Foley rocking as Jacobs HR makes it 4-3

By - June 11, 2006

Georgia has finally decided to make Game 2 a ballgame. Jason Jacobs sent a blast into the pines in left field to cut the Carolina lead to 4-3, and bringing the biggest cheer of the weekend from the UGA fans, who are finally up and lively, waving flags, clapping wildly, and even dancing in the stands from some excited kids.

With 0 outs still in the 4th, Georgia needs to keep on rolling. This is exactly what the Bulldogs needed to do: get the offense going while bringing the fans back to life, and applying a little pressure on Matt Cisco. The Bulldog bench is up and bouncing around, and it feels like Georgia has awakened from a deep slumber to play ball.

Carolina's bullpen is warming up as Cisco to Peisel with a runner on first, and the go-ahead run for UGA at the plate.
