Athens: Georgia finally on the board

By - June 10, 2006

They loaded the bases again, but it took a 2-out walk by Carolina P Harris Honeycutt for Georgia to score its first run, sending showers of applause...and hope...to the Bulldog faithful.

It's got to be a light morale boost for UGA to score that 1 run. Sure, they had many chances to score more, and yes, they're still down 8. But now, they realize it's early (just entering the 4th), and they know that Honeycutt isn't completely unstoppable. The key for UGA to win is to shut Carolina completely down and scrap their way back into the game. It's going to be very tough for the Bulldogs to do it, but even if they make it a much closer loss, that will be some much needed momentum going into Sunday's game.
