Athens: UGA just can't score
By - June 11, 2006
Again, Georgia puts runners on base. Again, Georgia can't find a way to push them in. It's spelling doom early on in Athens for the Bulldogs.
Peisel singled to start the inning for Georgia, which was a much needed good start. However, Matt Cisco struck out Matthew Dunn, and got Jonathan Wyatt to pop up to right. Joey Side singled past second base and into shallow right, setting Peisel in scoring position, but Gordon Beckham popped out along the right field line, just foul.
The Bulldogs have got to push runs across. Certainly, UGA has to feel a sense of urgency, because their fans are beginning to feel it right now. Brooks Brown attemps to keep SC at bay as we head to the bottom of the third.
