Atlanta: Play it again, Matt

By Craig Jackson - June 09, 2006

Matt Weiters was at it again. Driving a ball into centerfield to drive in one run, then advancing to second on the throw to third.

Quinn Monsma gave up the RBI single with 2 outs in the inning. The cougars now find themselves down to thier last 6 outs, and while they have hit Tech pitching relatively well, they just can not seem to get that big hit to drive in a run. But they just keep swigning the sticks, and getting runners on, hoping for that break that tightens the score.

Another hit in the 8th, brings the Cougar total to 9. Now 10. With 2 out and runners on the corners. Strikeout. and to use a well worn cliche, "And the crowd goes wild!"

7and a half gone, Tech 3, Cougars 0.
