Johnny Bench Award Finalist Jeff Kunkel, the Michigan catcher, has shown today why he belongs on the list.

Johnny Bench Award Finalist Jeff Kunkel, the Michigan catcher, has shown today why he belongs on the list.

Kunkel has two singles and a double today, and just threw out Alex Feinberg trying to steal second. Earlier in the game, he threw out Vandy's David Macias. He hasn't allowed a steal today.

It looks like the Big 12 was greatly overrated. Wake Forest was left out over a Missouri team that they beat on a neutral field. Yet, the Big 12 couldn't even win on the home fields and will be 0 for 7 in regionals. The ACC may send 6 or 7 teams to the regionals. Bad call by the committee.
