Atlanta: Omaha, Meet the Yellowjackets

By Craig Jackson - June 10, 2006

It's official. Tech is the first participant in the College World Series this year.

The final score never truly reflects the nature of the game, and this one is no exception. The Cougars were no pushovers. A rough 5th inning caused the game to spiral out of control, but the Kindel catch and throw double play in the 7th probably was the death blow. Charleston came out of the SoCon and took on SEC Champ Kentucky in Lexington to get here. They caused Tech to bend a little. The cougars are not going away. Congrats to the College of Charleston on a season well played. Go home, rest, and come back stronger next year.

To Tech, job well done. Good things come to those who work hard. More later.

Uggh! It's "Yellow Jackets" - two words!

Do you call them the Boston Redsox? Or the Anaheim Mightyducks?

C of C did have a good season and they played hard, hats off to them.

Bring on the Tigers, it's time for a little ACC tournament payback!

Go Jackets!!!

Can you believe Jeff Kindel's throwing ability? I have been impressed, that's for sure. They looked good, advancing to the College World Series!! All phases excellet: pitching, hitting dancing in the dugout:) and cinfidence to put it all together! Go Yellow Jackets!
