Atlanta: Pitch counts

Vandy starter Matt Buschmann has stayed ahead in the count for most of the afternoon, but then has been content to nibble the corners. This has resulted in a number of six-to-seven-pitch at-bats, and Buschmann has, by my count, thrown 75 pitches through five innings. Vandy SID Thomas Samuel has Buschmann with 79.

Michigan's Drew Taylor, on in relief of Zach Putnam (removed with an undisclosed injury in second) has thrown 23 pitches through 2 1/3 innings.
