Atlanta: Tech takes Game 1

By Craig Jackson - June 09, 2006

In what became a cakewalk, the Jackets beat the COugars 5-0 in game one of the Atlanta Super REgional.

Not to take anything from the COugars. These guys battled throughout. Tech had more timely hitting and pitching, but Charleston is not a club to be taken lightly for the next game. Woods picked up the in for Tech, with Rulon picking up his second save. Chigges took the loss in a game that he did not picth badly in.

Tomorrow's game is at 1 PM local time, so now I have the rest of the afternoon to pour over stats of the game, and analyze what I saw, and come up with some witty blog comments for tomorrow, right? Not quite! Gonna go take in some off the local color with Eric Slipp and his band of Techsters, then head to the hotel to look at some stats and collect my thoughts. I will leave the really heavy writing to the pundits who write for a living.
