Atlanta: The Sleeper Awakens
By Craig Jackson - June 10, 2006
After Monsma gives up the two run bomb to Kindel, the floodgates open.
Tech scores 5 in the top of the fith to blow open a tight game. Seemed like everything Charleston threw at them, they hit it. With the Cougars turning to their normal Friday night starter at this point in the game, it is seem as a signla that the Cougars are now in survival mode. Trailing by six to Tech with pitcher Hyde becoming more comfortable and efective as the game progresses seems to be sign of trouble. No activity in the Tech Pen, while Charleston still has guys ready to heat up.
One thing about these Cougars, they are not quitters. They are still challenging the Jacket hitters and taking their swings against Hyde.
5 innings gone now. Tech 8, Charleston 2.
