Aaron Bates led off with an infield single and Brian Aragon walked. Matt Still then got his second RBI with a double, and Aragon scored on a sac fly.

After giving up a couple of runs in the first, Wolfpack pitcher Gib Hobson has dominated. Hobson gave up a leadoff double in the second, but then retired ten batters in a row before a walk in the fifth. The walk was then erased by a double play.

Texas fans are hot and bothered by home plate umpire Tim Catton’s allegedly inconsistent strike zone. Actually, not just the fans, as pitching coach Tom Holliday just got into it with Catton.
