Chapel Hill: Ahead Of Schedule

By Bryan Graham - June 04, 2006

The average time of the four games completed during the Chapel Hill regional is three hours and four minutes. At the seventh-inning stretch during another beautiful afternoon at the Bosh, this loser's-bracket final is just one hour and 54 minutes old.

Winthrop manufactured a run during the top of the inning to even the score at one apiece. Alan Robbns led off the frame with a walk, Mitch Saum lay a beauiful sacrifice bunt to move the runner into scoring position.

Robbins advanced to third on a Zach Booker wild pitch, and pinch-hitter Jake Shaffer grounded out to second but drove the runner home.
