Chapel Hill: Seahawks Strike First

By Bryan Graham - June 04, 2006

UNC Wilmington just drew first blood at the expense of Winthrop first-year hurler Jason Franzblau in this battle of the birds.

Grayson Evans led off the bottom of the second with a single to centerfield before stealing second -- his fifth swipe of the season as many attempts. Lee McLean walked before Kevin Hodges grounded out to second and moved the runners up.

Mike Marbry then grounded to second, making the second out of the inning but scoring Evans.

Seahawks lead, 1-0.
