Charlottesville: Here We Go Again
By Elliot Olshansky - June 03, 2006
We seem to be setting into a pattern here at Davenport: South Carolina scores, then Evansville gets it together and gets out of the inning.
That's good enough for the Aces not to lose face, but they're now three innings away from losing this game if they can't figure out Cisco.
The third South Carolina run scored on a single by Chris Darnell, which scored Andrew Crisp from third. Of course, the next batter, Reese Havens, grounded into a double play to end the inning.
There's a decent crowd on hand for this one, including a respectable number of folks in orange shirts, which is inpressive, since there are still more than six hours left before the Cavaliers are expected to take the field. The largest crowd seems to be down the first baseline, where most of the South Carolina and Evansville fans are seated. Certainly not a full house, but I don't hear any crickets, either.
