Clemson: Grooming Time in Clemson

By Craig Jackson - June 03, 2006

If it is the top of the sixth inning, it is grooming time at Clemosn. THe full groundscrew lands on the field with a fervor unmatched anywhere.

Every game, Clemson re-conditions the infield for the remainder of the game. THey rake and smooth all the dirt in around the bases, as well as REPLACING the bases with fresh white ones. THey drag the infield and also manicure the cut outs at all bases.

When the Sixth begins, it is like paying on a fresh field. Nice touch Tigers.
