Fayetteville: Chapman cruising for ORU

By - June 04, 2006

Chance Chapman (9-1) gets the start for Oral Roberts, and wastes no time getting the Cowboys in order. It's 0-0 after 1 inning, with the heart of both team's orders coming up...

Right now, you can sense ORU is very relaxed and calm. They definitely feel confident with Chapman on the mound, and it shows in the collective demeanor of the Eagle team. OSU shows no signs of fatigue though, especially Jordy Mercer, who played SS and pitched for OSU in the earlier game. The key for tonight's game will be just how long Fritsche can go for the Pokes. If ORU attacks him early, the Cowboys are in trouble.
