Fayetteville: ORU retakes lead on Razorbacks

By - June 02, 2006

Schmidt has given up a 2 singles, followed by an infield hit, to load the bases for ORU with no outs. Andy Bouchie is up for the Eagles. Bouchie grounds into a double play, but the Eagles regain the lead, 2-1 as the Arkansas & Missouri train roars by Baum Stadium, receiving a small cheer from the crowd.

ORU fans are getting very feisty, as you can begin to hear their faint chants of "O-R-U!" from their spot behind the first base dugout (Section 102 to be exact). The Hog fans counter with a steady clap, and Schmidt mows down Rothford to end the inning.

The Razorbacks have yet to get into a real groove tonight though. Not many rallies or clutch hits to fire up the crowd, and though two flags wave proud along the third base line, the crowd is at a steady murmur, which is exactly how Oral Roberts wants it to stay.
