Fayetteville: Wild Ending ties game at 3 after 7
By - June 02, 2006
It's as odd an ending as you could ask for...
Dugger struck out, leaving the bases loaded with 1 out. David Hum came to bat and hit a deep fly to left. Robison tagged from third and scored, but the third baseman was off his base to assist with the relay. The ball ended up in pitcher Sean Jarrett's hands. Ewing attempted to tag third, but Jarrett saw him and beat him to the base for the third out.
This has got to be the most entertaining game of the entire day nationwide. We've had fluke plays, raucous fans, angry players, and emotion overflowing like nothing you've ever seen. This is NCAA baseball at its best, most pure form. We are knotted at 3 going into the 8th.
