Hot players:
Catcher Matt Wieters was the nation's hottest player last weekend. Wieters reached base 14 of 15 times, mashed three homers, and finished two Tech wins (he was credited with one save).
Shortstop Michael Fisher was mostly solid in the field, added a grand slam against Stetson (his first homer of the year), and had three big hits in the first win over Vanderbilt.
First baseman Luke Murton is exhibiting good plate judgement and is also hitting the ball hard. He played well in the field in the Regional
PITCHING:
Probable rotation:
1. Blake Wood
2. Lee Hyde
3. Kyle Turner
All three pitched well in the Regional, and Hyde no-hit Vanderbilt for 5 1/3 innings before getting touched up in the sixth. All are pitching well. Hard-throwing Wieters can double as the closer in a pinch.
