Houston: Here Comes the Rain

By Jeremy Mills - June 02, 2006

Earlier today, the skies had cleared after nearly a week of rain -- that changed abruptly at 8:39 PM, as the Baylor-Arizona State game went into a rain delay with Baylor batting in a 0-0 game in the top of the 2nd.

If anyone was still wondering why Wayne Graham prefers to play the early game on the first day of regionals, the current weather in Houston is your answer. For the third time in five times hosting a regional at Reckling Park, we're sitting in a rain delay.

Looking at the ponds in shallow rightfield and between home and the firstbase, I'm not sure we'll be playing any more at Reckling tonight. More once they let us know...
