Houston: Sooners Threaten, Owls Change Pitchers

By Jeremy Mills - June 11, 2006

Already holding a one-run lead over the #2 national seed, Oklahoma has a runner on third with one out in the bottom of the sixth. Will McDaniel (7-1, 2.86) has just come in for the Owls. McDaniel was the Owls' midweek starter for most of the season, and his lone blemish was on April 18th against the Sooners in Norman.

Joseph Hughes recorded the first triple of his career with one out, ending the afternoon for southpaw Bobby Bramhall.

With his sixth inning strikeout of Adam Zornes, Daniel McCutchen moves into second on the single season Sooner strikeout list with 143 whiffs this season.
