Owl reliever Cole St. Clair struck out Kody Kaiser to end the top of the first inning and keep the OU lead at 2-0 with Rice coming to the plate for the first time.

Like Craig Crow, Sooner starter Ryan Mottern is having trouble throwing stikes early. He induced Tyler Henley to ground to first on a 3-1 count before walking Greg Buchanan on four pitches.
